I have beem getting my locs done in this salon for a very long time . The price for the services is very affordable compared to the excellent quality of services being received by the clients.. the Loctician is very professional and very kind. For me this is the best locs salon in Macon Georgia... 💯❤️💞🙏🔥Posted on O GibbsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was really hoping to support a local salon close to my home and build a long-term relationship with the loctician working out of the pink room at Pretty Braids of Africa.(The older light skin Loctician with beautiful skin and micro locs) Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. My appointment was for my 12-year-old son who has high-top dreadlocks (only half his head is loc’d). The stylist confirmed the appointment beforehand, which I appreciated. However, when we arrived, my son had to wait about 20 minutes while she finished another client. We requested a wash, re-twist, and style. Before she began, she said she could not style his hair, even though his locs are long enough and have been styled many times before. She also started interlocking his locs with a crochet needle without asking permission first, which most Loctician's normally discuss before doing. For context, my son has had dreadlocks on and off since he was three years old. This is his second loc journey and he has been growing them again for about four years, so I’m very familiar with the typical cost of this service. For a child with a half head of locs, most places charge around $80–$100, and in many salons the wash is already included with the retwist and style. My son is also very well behaved and well spoken, so there were no behavioral issues that would justify charging more. Despite this, I was charged $140 for a half-head re-twist on a child, and the technique and final result were very mediocre. Overall the service felt overpriced, unprofessional, and poorly communicated. Prices should be clearly posted so clients know what to expect. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I will not be returning. The salon lost what could have been a regular customer. Now when I take him to go get his haircut today, I also have to go have his hairstyle properly and that will cost me more money.Posted on LifeofMariaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been getting braids for a few years now. I had micro braids that I couldn't get out on my own & we were stuck in Israel during the Iran war. By the time we got back my braids were locked... in a bad way! 🙃 I was embarrassed & trying to get them out on my own. But my husband (HERO) said I'm making an appointment for (son) to get locks done & you are going too! Lol I was not thrilled & said I'm probably just gonna have to shave it off! FF>>> Pretty was able to cut the braids out & salvage a decent short cut ✂️ for me. I let my hair have a break & returned for box braids that she said wouldn't be a problem even on short hair. After today, I want to come here only!! What a dear amazing woman, she poured so much love into these braids! I could feel it radiating from her sweet Godly spirit & felt so uplifted by the spiritual food my soul received while in her shop! 💯 worth every $$! Thank you & God bless you Pretty 🙏🏽♥️Posted on Larry MooreTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Pretty Braids Of Africa is the best hair salon in Macon Georgia...I do not care about what anyone else says out of envy and jealousy.... this salon is clean and they know how to do hairstyles absolutely well. I have never looked this beautiful in my whole life and the environment is peace and excellent... I highly recommend this salon to everyone who needs a professional service. I will come back again and again.....👍.🔥🔥🔥💖💕🩵Posted on Sakena NixonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The stylist is talented and her braiding is neat. However, my experience was disappointing. I clearly requested medium knotless box braids with fewer rows so my hair could be styled into a low bun for work and I provided a reference photo. I received more rows than requested, added hair that was very stiff and front braids that were styled forward, which I did not ask for. Because of this, the style is not functional for my job and I’ve had to take it down much sooner than expected. Communication and adherence to client instructions need improvement, especially at a $200 price point.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
